W/C 21st May

The week ahead:

This week is an exciting week. In Literacy and Numeracy we will be doing something a little different.

In Numeracy you will be given two tasks to do over the four days and you will be able to use all your mathematical knowledge to complete them in whatever way you wish.

In Literacy you  will be writing a story based on 3 pictures. The whole school will be sharing the same 3 pictures to write a story. Let's make our stories brilliant - just as they always are. We all know what features we have to put in, so I'm hoping to read some amazing work.

In our Learning Challenge this week we will be learning about Boudicca and how she challenged The Romans. We will be doing this through drama rather than writing.

Wow we are amazing - we are really using our reasoning skills in maths. We wrote some super shape poems which we shared with each other - some funny, some sad but all brilliant. Some amazing homework has started to come in again - we are a really creative bunch. Everyone stops with interest to look at our homework display in the corridor. Keep it up 3W- fantastic work!

Art- We will be designing a mosaic and thinking carefully about colours so that next week we can start making one.

What a lot we know about adding up money - we are doing really well. The sun was very kind to us this week and we were able to draw our shadows properly and track them through the day. What a lot we learnt about it. Let's hope this sunny weather continues for us.

W/C 7th May

SCHOOL SUNHATS NEEDED  PLEASE.

The week ahead:

Numeracy - We will be working with money using our super knowledge of place value to add up different amounts. There will be lots of opportunities for reasoning

Literacy -  We will be watching a short film called 'Marshmallows' and planning and writing a 'what happens next version' This will be an opportunity to show off all the things you have learned about what makes a great piece of narrative writing.

Science - We will be continuing our investigations into shadows - let's hope the sun stays out for us this week!

ICT - We will continue our investigations into Robomind and programming.

History - We will be continuing to investigate how and why the Romans invaded.

Last week

What a great week we had. The sun was not helpful to us though and we had to be quick to get outside and draw our shadows before it went in again. Hopefully next week will stay sunny and help us out.

W/C 30th April
