Summer 2 Weeks 4 and 5
We have had a toughtful and enlightening start to RE, Pilgrimage Week. Lots of good question and answer sessions, show and tell and information finding to broaden understanding and acceptance. Remember the charity day on Friday too.
Next week the children get to meet their next teacher for an hour on Tuesday and we have our Sports Day on Wednesday (5th). It is INSET day on Friday.
Summer 2 Week 1 and 2
A tremendous start to the last half term of Year! Wow, that's gone quickly. We've revisted numbers bonds in Maths and writing questions about castles and knights in English. In PE Mr Smith has started some athletics games to go with our gorgeous Summer weather!
In week 2 we will be using our reading skills to answer comprehension questions about our new topic. In Maths we will pratcise counting to and well beyond 100. In Science we will start our bean diaries and we will learn all about the castle building. I will be out of the classroom on Tuesday morning and all day Friday, the class should have a familiar supply teacher.
Thanks again for the lovely baby gifts and cards that keep coming in, it's a really special time.
See you soon, Mr Hassall

All the best, Mr Hassall
Summer 1 week 1
The class have returned in fine form and are absolute joy to teach. This week I have told the children that my partner and I are expecting our first baby (a boy) in the next four weeks. I will be taking 2 weeks paternity leave when the day arrives. The school has a supply teacher on standby, who will hopefully be somebody the class are familiar with. We’re really excited and a little nervous!
Also, we have a class assembly on Monday 24th April and a year group assembly (the one you are invited to) on Friday 5th May. So the children may be bringing home some words to learn for the performances. Please could you help them learn these words so they will be more confident when speaking in front of an audience.
